Smoking Gun

ok wow, seriously, like 20 layers... I am going to say right now, I have spent A LOT of time on this, making sure the flow worked with my idea. I started this with the intension of submitting it to Disaster, Death, and Decay Contest . I just let it go where it took me, and surprisingly o.o it went really well. I think it looks a little busy, but when you step back, there's lots of details that accentuate each part of the collage, maybe I won't point them out, I'll see if people notice.

Explaination for contest:
Ok well, I am sure what a lot of people would expect from me is some kind of dark grotesque scene with zombies or vampires.. lol, but I took it a different way this time. Lately when I think of Death, decay, destruction, I think of our society. Taking away everything that is beautiful, creative, FREE. The few surviving funds and charities supporting 'the arts' are struggling along. Unfortunately sometimes it's not enough. In my picture I represent a girl being shot, but instead of a gruesome bullet hold with oodles of blood, i made her face paper, and the bullet splatters what resembles paint. The guy smoking represents our bad habits eating us away, while his smoke rises up into a tornado and also the smoke from the gun, linking our bad habits with bigger and badder events. The word freedom is filled with paint brushes, hard to make out but oh well. The dove is the freedom, the rainbow coming in and ending in blood. I used black and white for the people since they weren't the big deal, I wanted to accentuate the things happening. Everyday, society ruins our beauty, creativity, smile, hearts, love... with policies, wars, violence, corrupt bureaucrats. It's sad.
