A withered sorceress seeks youth once more...
The witch had spent weeks stalking the unknowing beauty,
she'd spent weeks brewing the potion.
It was finally ready, boiling and bubbling a bloody red.
With her wrinkled, knobby fingers she gripped the ladle
and forced the brew through her lips.
It coated her teeth and burned her throat and
she hissed through the tempest of searing agony that followed.
It took but a moment to conjure the visage of the
young woman into her scrying crystal.
Almost immediately, the spots began to fade from her deeply creased skin.
In moments it would be over
and none would be the wiser.
A battle began.
Far away a lovely maiden tossed violently
as nightmares infected her sleeping mind.
A shiver raised her skin into a
frenzy of taut bumps and paralyzing fear
raced through her body.
She felt herself dying and a single tear rolled
from her tightly clenched eyes.
In the morning they would mourn her passing.
Youth fades, little beauty.
I do you a great honor by saving
You from the misery of growing old,
growing cold.
Little beauty, surrender to my will,
be still.
You are being rewarded! I am saving you
the anguishing wait, years of nothing but loss.
Nothing could be more true and calmer
will be the torrent of waves on which you toss.
Nothing could be sweeter, little beauty!
Taste the sorrow upon my lips,
Surrender to this ageless kiss..
Been working on this for a few days now and I think I'm finally finished.
For now at least.
