Just Another Dream
I'd sleep a thousand years, if you'd just love me again
Smile a bright smile, to know,
As slow as the knife descends,
and my blood begins to show.
You don't see into my mind, the place where I live,
So far away amongst the tallest grass,
Where no one is willing to give,
And nothing ever lasts.
I suppose you don't really know the true me,
The blank space inside, drained for so long
A caged animal longing to be free,
Beaten by my fate, no longer strong,
It's like I'm a shadow in your wake.
Destined to follow you through eternity.
Screaming inside myself, fracturing what's left, my mentality.
To run forever from my ghosts, the cracks in my doubt,
What I became remains to be seen,
And you are the only flower I've ever met.
So smooth you are, luring my heart away.
Did you care, now that you're satisfied,
I think the voices knew I'd say,
And do you think before, to me, you lie?
If you were a fraction of the tingle in my chest,
I think you'd lose your grip on reality,
To be living hate, and a broken mess,
A controlled future it shall always be.
Do you not long to hold me tight,
And chase away my fears and screams,
The only one to share my night,
And the only one within my dreams.

My heart is really crumbling at these words written and so soft spoken your lips have given. My heart is always with you. Along with the love to hold you tight for every night keeps me alive and going to my perpetual delight.
