did they not work because you were trying them with a photoshop other than 7, and if they were in the wrong placement you could have always free transformed the layer with lashes to be the right angle.. i dunno lol

hmm, well thats odd, perhaps you didnt add them in the right place or load them in photoshop the right way? in sorry if i offend you if you are a veteran.. the brushes work for me, perhaps i will try to dl them and dble check to make sure they are not corrupt
